This year’s edition brings together three site-specific works by contemporary artists Angel Hui, Albert Yonathan Setyawan, and Dr. William Lim, transforming the hotel’s iconic façade and The Lobby into immersive artistic spaces. The program is further enriched by a large-scale installation at The Verandah Café, on view through May 5.
Developed in collaboration with the Victoria and Albert Museum (V&A), the initiative reflects The Peninsula’s long-standing commitment to cultural patronage and invites guests to experience contemporary art throughout the property in unexpected and engaging ways.

ToggleImmersive Art Across Iconic Spaces
Visitors are first welcomed by Angel Hui’s shimmering installation Swimming in Light, displayed across the hotel façade. Featuring her signature embroidered goldfish motifs, the work reinterprets familiar elements such as the hotel’s awnings and its iconic Rolls-Royce fleet, creating a dynamic interplay of color, light, and reflection visible from both inside and outside The Verandah.
Inside The Lobby, Albert Yonathan Setyawan presents Metamorphic Modulation, a large-scale ceramic installation composed of over 700 handcrafted elements. Created using red terracotta and left unglazed to highlight the material’s natural qualities, the work explores ambiguity in form and perception. Its layered structure and interplay of shadows blur the boundaries between sculpture, architecture, and viewer, offering a constantly shifting visual experience.
At The Verandah Café, Dr. William Lim’s Walking On A Bright Future transforms the entire space into an immersive environment. Developed in collaboration with Tai Ping, the installation features a hand-tufted wall tapestry and a continuous patterned carpet inspired by Lim’s painting A Bright Future. The surreal composition—depicting symbolic elements such as a child gazing into a crystal sphere, fish leaping across the sky, and a low-hanging moon—invites visitors into a dreamlike world where imagination and reality intersect.
Art-Inspired Culinary Experiences
Complementing the artistic program, The Peninsula Hong Kong is offering a curated selection of art-inspired dining and hospitality experiences between March 24 and May 5, 2026. Guests at The Lobby can enjoy themed afternoon tea and dessert selections inspired by the featured artworks, while The Verandah Café presents an Artisan Pastry Set reflecting Dr. William Lim’s creations. Signature desserts and beverages are also available at The Bar and The Verandah, extending the artistic concept into gastronomy.
Supporting Global Artistic Innovation
According to Benjamin Vuchot, the program highlights the group’s commitment to fostering artistic innovation and cultural exchange in the cities where it operates. By commissioning new works and collaborating with institutions like the V&A, the initiative supports contemporary artists in gaining international recognition while contributing to Hong Kong’s position as a leading cultural hub in Asia.
Through “Art in Resonance,” The Peninsula continues to enable the creation of significant public artworks by providing funding, curatorial support, and exhibition platforms—inviting both guests and wider communities to engage with art in immersive and meaningful ways.
