Hilton Strengthens Its Presence in Turkey with 10 New Hotel Agreements

Hilton Strengthens Its Presence in Turkey with 10 New Hotel Agreements

Hilton (NYSE: HLT) has announced the signing of ten new hotel agreements under its award-winning brands, including DoubleTree by Hilton, Tapestry Collection by Hilton, Hilton Garden Inn, and Hampton by Hilton, adding over 1,000 rooms to its portfolio. With these new developments, the company will operate over 120 hotels in Turkey, including those currently operational and under development.

David Kelly, Senior Vice President for Hilton in Continental Europe, expressed his enthusiasm, stating, “We are thrilled to expand our portfolio in Turkey with our market-leading four brands. We are in one of the most exciting phases in our 70-year history in Turkey. We plan to open ten new hotels next year and introduce three new brands to our guests. Additionally, we are continuing our work on the $80 million renovation of the iconic Hilton Istanbul Bosphorus.”

Mike Collini, Vice President of Development for Hilton in Central, Eastern, and Southern Europe, added, “Across various locations in the country, under our diverse brand offerings, our 122 operational and developing properties strive to provide the best experience for all accommodation needs. Over the last decade, we have more than doubled our number of hotels in Turkey and see significant opportunities to expand our portfolio.”

Funda Eratıcı, Hilton’s Investment Director for Turkey, regarding the developments, stated, “These developments highlight our strong and focused service portfolio in Turkey while showcasing the ongoing expansion of our DoubleTree by Hilton brand. The opening of our first ski hotel in Turkey and the introduction of our second property under the Tapestry Collection by Hilton mark an exciting milestone for us. We look forward to welcoming guests to our properties after their openings.”

Upcoming Hilton Hotels in Turkey

  • Bodrum Eskiçeşme, Tapestry Collection by Hilton: Scheduled to open in May 2026, this hotel will be Hilton’s fourth property in Bodrum, one of the most sought-after holiday destinations on Turkey’s southwestern coast. Located just 15 minutes by car from the center of Bodrum in the scenic Bitez area, the hotel will feature 55 rooms, including eight suites. Guests will enjoy a variety of dining options, including a main restaurant with outdoor seating, a pool bar, a beach bar, and a lobby bar. The facility will also include a fitness center, spa, main pool, children’s pool, and five additional swimming pools, offering a tranquil accommodation experience.
  • DoubleTree by Hilton Kars Sarıkamış: Set to open in the coming months, this hotel will be Hilton’s first ski resort facility in Turkey as per the agreement with Faras Construction Building Industry Trade Limited Company. With a blend of comfort and style, the hotel will feature 84 rooms, including 18 suites. Designed for relaxation and enjoyment post-ski, the lobby bar, restaurant, and fitness center will be complemented by an indoor pool, a traditional Turkish bath, and therapy rooms. Guests can also make use of the hotel’s game room and ski rental services. Conveniently located near Sarıkamış’s unique ski centers, guests can easily access the hotel’s entrance by walking or skiing directly from the ski lift. Known for its heavy snowfall from December to April, Sarıkamış offers a rare skiing experience on natural powder “crystal snow,” similar to that found in the Alps, with seven ski slopes and a 25-kilometer trail.
  • Hampton by Hilton Izmir Bornova: Expected to open in 2025, this hotel will be situated near the main arterial road between Izmir’s coastline and the rest of the city, featuring 185 rooms.
  • Hilton Garden Inn Bitlis: Opening in spring 2026, this hotel will be located steps away from the fortress of Bitlis, featuring 112 rooms, a restaurant, a bar, a fitness center, and two meeting rooms.
  • Hilton Garden Inn Tarsus: Planned to open in 2026, this will be Hilton’s first property in the ancient city, offering 170 rooms, an outdoor dining terrace with breakfast area and bar, four meeting rooms, and a gym.
  • Hilton Garden Inn Pendik, Istanbul: Set to open in 2026 in one of Turkey’s largest metropolises, the hotel will offer 136 rooms, a dining area open all day, a lobby bar, a fitness center, and six meeting rooms.
  • Hilton Garden Inn Antalya: Also opening in 2026, this hotel in Antalya’s Aksu district will feature 116 rooms, a lounge, restaurant, bar, fitness center, and two meeting rooms, along with a main pool area, a dedicated children’s pool, and a playground.
  • Hampton by Hilton Düzce: Scheduled to open in 2026, this hotel will be located a five-minute drive from the city center, featuring 120 rooms, two meeting rooms, and a fitness center.
  • Hilton Garden Inn Torbalı: Targeting a 2027 opening, this hotel near the ancient city of Metropolis will offer 122 rooms, a bar, and a gym.
  • Hilton Garden Inn Adıyaman: Also aiming for a 2027 opening, this facility will offer 120 rooms, 38 of which are designed for long stays, four meeting rooms, and a fitness center.

These hotels, catering to both business and leisure travelers, will offer a stylish accommodation experience and special amenities reflecting the distinctive service standards of the two Hilton brands. With 38 hotels already operating under the Hampton and Hilton Garden Inn brands across Turkey, the new agreements will further expand Hilton’s focused service portfolio in the region.

2025: A Milestone Year for Hilton in Turkey

Next year, Hilton will celebrate its 70th anniversary in Turkey. In addition to the ten new agreements, the company will further strengthen its presence at one of Turkey’s most popular locations with Hilton Istanbul Airport under its flagship Hilton Hotels & Resorts brand. As Hilton Hotels & Resorts continues to innovate in airport hospitality, the opening of Hilton Istanbul Airport in the summer of 2025 will mark the launch of Turkey’s first airport hotel, reinforcing its leadership in the sector.

Furthermore, the iconic Hilton Istanbul Bosphorus is currently undergoing an extensive restoration process. The pool area and many redesigned rooms have begun serving guests before the completion of the restoration, which is scheduled for completion next year.
