This year’s winner of the guide selecting the best restaurants is Tavacı Recep Usta

Tavacı Recep Usta, aiming to contribute to Turkey’s culinary heritage and further promote Turkish cuisine, has been honored with the Michelin Bib Gourmand Award, which recognizes the best value-for-money restaurants. The brand, which operates in Ankara Ümitköy and Park Vadi, as well as in Istanbul and Izmir, received this prestigious award.

Tavacı Recep Usta, aiming to contribute to Turkey’s culinary culture and promote Turkish cuisine more broadly, has been awarded the Michelin Bib Gourmand Award, given to the best value restaurants. The brand, which operates in Ankara Ümitköy and Park Vadi, as well as in Istanbul and Izmir, is the recipient of the award.

Among the specialty dishes of the brand is the ‘Saç Tava.’

Restaurants recommended in the Michelin Guide are evaluated not for being expensive but for offering good value for money. The restaurants deemed to provide the best value for money are awarded. Last year, the restaurants that received the same award were Cuma, Karaköy Lokantası, Alaf, Aman da Bravo, Aheste, Tershane, Pandeli, SADE, Giritli, and Calipso Fish. This year, the award went to a brand that has been welcoming local and international guests since 1978. The brand, which has hosted many presidents, prime ministers, famous business people, and artists over the years, especially draws attention with its specialty products such as ‘Saç Tava,’ ribs, neck stew, and shank.
