According to aviation industry reports and company announcements, the airline plans to introduce flights to Yerevan (Armenia), Timișoara (Romania), Monrovia (Liberia), Bissau (Guinea-Bissau), Chengdu (China), and Urumqi (China) as new destinations in its network. These additions will further extend the airline’s presence in emerging markets and underserved routes.

Flights to Urumqi, a major city in northwestern China, were also confirmed in an official statement, with services expected to begin once operational and market conditions are finalized. The route is expected to strengthen the airline’s presence in the Chinese market and expand its long-haul network in Asia.

Most of the new routes will operate through Istanbul Airport, the airline’s primary hub. Turkish Airlines already operates one of the world’s largest international flight networks, serving over 300 destinations in more than 130 countries.

Industry analysts note that the network expansion is designed to increase passenger traffic, strengthen tourism flows to Türkiye, and enhance trade connections between Europe, Asia, and Africa. By adding new destinations and expanding its reach, Turkish Airlines aims to maintain its position as one of the leading global carriers in international aviation.
