New Hotel Investments Accelerate in Türkiye as Tourism Demand Grows

Rising visitor numbers and strong tourism revenues in recent years have encouraged global hotel brands to launch new projects, particularly in major destinations such as Istanbul, Antalya and Cappadocia.

Global hospitality company Hilton has recently announced several new projects in Türkiye as part of its expansion strategy in the region. The company plans to open new hotels in cities including Istanbul, Antalya and Kocaeli under brands such as DoubleTree by Hilton, Hilton Garden Inn and Curio Collection by Hilton.

Industry experts say many of the new properties will target both leisure and business travelers, with facilities including conference halls, wellness centers and large event spaces.

Istanbul, Türkiye’s largest city and a major international travel hub, is expected to see dozens of new hotel openings in the coming years as investors respond to growing demand. Tourism officials say the projects are aimed at expanding the country’s accommodation capacity while improving the quality and diversity of tourism offerings.

Other global hospitality companies, including Marriott International, IHG Hotels & Resorts and Wyndham Hotels & Resorts, are also increasing their investments in the country through new hotel developments and brand expansions.

Tourism analysts say the wave of hotel investments reflects confidence in Türkiye’s long-term tourism potential. The country has recorded record levels of visitor arrivals in recent years, supported by competitive pricing, improved tourism infrastructure and diverse destinations ranging from Mediterranean beach resorts to historic cultural sites.

Sector representatives note that the new projects are expected to create thousands of jobs while strengthening Türkiye’s position as a leading global tourism destination.
