MPI EMEC 2025 Returns to Istanbul After 11 Years

The European Meetings and Events Conference (EMEC), the most prestigious event of Meeting Professionals International (MPI) in Europe, is set to return to Istanbul after 11 years. EMEC 2025 will take place from February 22 to 25 at the Istanbul Lutfi Kırdar International Convention and Exhibition Center.

The conference will kick off with speeches by MPI CEO Paul Van Deventer, Dr. Elif Balcı Fisunoğlu, Deputy General Manager of the Turkish Tourism Promotion and Development Agency, and Filiz Akdede, Global VP of HP’s 3D Printing Group. The opening ceremony will also feature a mesmerizing performance by Ebru artist Garip Ay, offering attendees an unforgettable visual experience.

MPI EMEC 2025 will bring together approximately 250 event professionals, including international meeting planners and media representatives. The event will focus on inspiring sessions, networking opportunities, and an immersive Istanbul experience. Key topics will include industry trends, the future of the sector, creating high-impact events with AI-driven insights, and the role of events in sustainable destination development.

Breaking away from traditional conference formats, MPI will offer participants a unique destination experience through its EMEC Learning Journeys. In collaboration with MPI Turkey, the event will showcase Turkish culture and Istanbul’s rich heritage through various activities. Attendees will have the chance to explore Istanbul’s historical, cultural, and modern facets, blending the East and West, history and modernity.
