The online B2B travel portal BookingAgora added another event to its series of traditional industry gatherings by organizing a summer farewell party. The event brought together senior representatives from airlines and GDS system executives.
Hosted by BookingAgora’s co-founders Aziz Ciga, Mahmut Ciga, Kadri Ciga, Sezgin Kara, and Murat Kahraman, the evening welcomed high-level representatives from over 20 airlines, including Turkish Airlines, Pegasus, Lufthansa, Emirates, and Qatar Airways. Held in the garden of Sheraton Istanbul Levent Hotel, the event featured a DJ performance, barbecue, street food offerings, and special gift raffles.
In his speech, BookingAgora Co-founder Murat Kahraman expressed his pride and joy in gathering valuable representatives of the aviation industry, stating:
“We wanted to provide our partners with a break from work stress, bid farewell to summer together, and strengthen our bond. BookingAgora integrates GDS and NDC systems into its own infrastructure, connecting airlines with travel agencies and offering a platform for airline ticket sales. We exclusively serve licensed travel agencies certified by tourism authorities, functioning as a wholesale platform between airlines and agencies. Beyond flights, we also offer products such as hotels, transfers, package tours, and visas. Tonight’s event was specifically focused on our airline ticketing product, allowing us to host suppliers, partners, airlines, and GDS representatives in this beautiful garden to mark the end of summer. About 80-90% of the sector participated. GDS executives from Sabre and Travelport were also among our guests. We extend our heartfelt thanks to all aviation industry representatives who joined us tonight.”
BookingAgora Co-founder Kadri Ciga also thanked the attendees, adding:
