
The online travel agency Tatilsepeti won its first Crystal Apple with its 20th-anniversary ad campaign. Recognized as the “Oscars of Advertising,” the 36th Crystal Apple Awards Ceremony took place at Rixos Tersane Istanbul. Tatilsepeti’s 20th-anniversary commercial earned the Crystal Apple in the best film category under online/corporate image. The award was jointly received by Tatilsepeti’s brand marketing team and the advertising agency’s staff.
Founded in 1996 by three friends from Galatasaray High School during a school trip with the thought, “We can do better,” Tatilsepeti started as an event company and transitioned into a tourism business in 2002. With a visionary approach to the digital realm, the company became one of Turkey’s first digital tourism initiatives, launching online operations in 2004. Tatilsepeti celebrated its 20th anniversary with a delightful advertising campaign.
Shot in Antalya Over Two Days: Seen on the Metro, Streets, and Screens
The campaign, featuring the slogan “We’ve been vacationing for over 20 years,” appeared on metro stations, large billboards, and TV screens. Filmed in Antalya over two full days, the ad showcased beaches, hotels, restaurants, and adventure parks, all reimagined as “offices” for Tatilsepeti.
The commercial highlighted the “challenging efforts” of Tatilsepeti employees to deliver the best vacation experiences to guests for over two decades. It also referenced the modern travel concept of “workation.” In the film, employees are seen meticulously working on vacation details, holding scoreboards, and ensuring perfection. One tests the water temperature in a jacuzzi for health benefits, another acts as a food critic, while someone else analyzes the fineness of sand like a “sand analyst.” One employee greets locals on a remote island, while another explores local entertainment options.
“We Continue to Make Dream Vacations a Reality for Millions of Guests”
Tatilsepeti’s debut ad with the slogan, “We all work for vacations,” made a strong impression and was widely talked about. The 20th-anniversary campaign slogan built upon that success. In the film, Tatilsepeti conveys the message:
“As a pioneer and leader in our field for over 20 years, we’ve been vacationing. We are Tatilsepeti. Our sole effort is to create the most comfortable and enjoyable vacations for you. We strive to help you discover new destinations around the world, taste the best flavors, and continue making dream vacations a reality for millions of guests, regardless of their budget or preferences.”
The campaign’s key visual includes not only the cast but also real Tatilsepeti employees who have been contributing to delivering the “best vacations” for 20 years.
