TAV Airports affiliate BTA won six awards at the FAB Awards 2024, the most prestigious award program in the global travel retail and duty-free sector.
Evaluated by an independent jury composed of industry experts and professionals at an event organized by The Moodie Davitt Report in Ontario, California, USA, BTA’s brand Tadında Anadolu was named ‘Best Business Representing Venue Atmosphere’ and was selected as the ‘First in Europe Region.’ This category rates brands that reflect the tastes, traditions, history, and culture of a city, region, or country, providing services with unique hospitality. Tadında Anadolu was also honored with three prestigious awards, being chosen as ‘Airport Restaurant of the Year.’
Famous chef Ömür Akkor, known for his work at Tadında Anadolu located in a 1,700 square meter area after passport control in the international departures section of Istanbul Airport and presenting centuries-old recipes authentically, was named ‘Airport Chef of the Year’ and also won the ‘First in Europe Region’ award in the same category.
Another BTA Food & Services brand, Cake&Bakes, was declared the ‘Regional Winner’ in the ‘Airport Coffee or Tea Shop of the Year’ category at its branch at Zagreb Airport in Croatia.
