Turkey welcomed 56.7 million visitors in 2023, marking a 10% increase compared to the previous year. 2023 was the best year for our sector so far. Istanbul, with 17.4 million foreign visitors, became one of the most visited cities in the world. The growth continued into the first quarter of 2024, with over 9 million visitors. As a result, the number of tourists arriving from January to March increased by 16.7% compared to the same period last year. The new partnership between Emirates and TGA will further support the growing tourism sector and create new growth opportunities for the future.”

Emirates currently operates 21 weekly flights to Istanbul with its Airbus A380 and Boeing 777 aircraft. The airline also offers passengers two daily flights between Dubai and Sabiha Gökçen Airport through its joint flight agreement with flydubai.
