Corendon Tourism Group continues to grow its operations in Alanya, a key destination for both its tour operator and airline services since its inception. The group shared its planned operations for the region at a meeting held in Alanya.
On April 17, Corendon Tourism Group’s Management hosted a luncheon at Alanya Day One Beach Resort, where they met with protocol representatives, civil society organizations, business partners, and members of the press. During the event, Corendon Tourism Group’s Founding Partner Yıldıray Karaer and other executives shared details about the group’s Alanya operations for the 2024 season.
“We continue our growth steadily and rapidly”
During the meeting, which was attended by Alanya District Governor Fatih Ürkmezer, Alanya Mayor Osman Tarık Özçelik, AKTOB President Kaan Kavaloğlu, Alanyaspor Club President Hasan Çavuşoğlu, TAV Alanya-Gazipaşa Airport General Manager Oğuzhan Karatürk, and the heads of civil society organizations supporting Alanya tourism, Yıldıray Karaer spoke about the group’s growth journey. He said, “Since our founding, we have continued to grow rapidly and steadily. Similarly, we are committed to contributing to the development of Alanya tourism and enhancing this destination. The success achieved in the development of tourism in Alanya is the result of the dedicated efforts and collaborations of the private sector, government institutions, and civil society organizations.
“We brought the first Boeing 737-800 passenger plane to Alanya-Gazipaşa Airport”
Yıldıray Karaer, Founding Partner of Corendon Tourism Group, emphasized that Alanya has been a key destination for the group since its founding in 1997. He continued, “In our Alanya story, there are milestones that reflect our pioneering identity. On April 4, 2012, we landed the first Boeing 737-800 passenger plane at Gazipaşa Airport. This flight marked a milestone for Alanya-Gazipaşa Airport, as it was the first medium-body aircraft to land in Alanya. As Corendon, we also supported the efforts for the opening and operation of Alanya-Gazipaşa Airport. Alanya is an important destination for our main source markets, the Netherlands and Belgium. The fact that it offers holiday concepts for guests of various profiles, from families to young people, increases the region’s attractiveness.”

At this stage, Yıldıray Karaer pointed out that one-third of tourists arriving in the Antalya region go to Alanya, saying: “By planning direct flights from more markets, we continue to make better use of Alanya’s potential and support the development of tourism in the region. We launched the first flight to Alanya-Gazipaşa for the 2024 season on April 2, from Amsterdam. In the 2024 season, we are offering over 120,000 seats to Alanya-Gazipaşa, including direct flights from our airline and the seat capacity within the package tours offered by our tour operator.”
Yıldıray Karaer concluded by stating that Corendon Tourism Group will continue to contribute to regional tourism with both its tour operator and airline operations.
